The University of Illinois Farmdoc daily just released a blog post by Jonathan Coppess and Yifan Peng regarding the House Ag Farm Bill proposal on changes to the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)

The Inflation Reduction Act provided for increased assistance to EQIP of about $8.45 billion with most of that to be spent by 2028. However, the House Ag proposal would decrease this spending by about $3.9 billion during the period ending 2030 but then would start increasing the funding by about $600 million in 2032 and thereafter which is expected to be permanent.
