We need a more principled stance on the first question. The tax provisions are good, no doubt. This country has a spending problem, and the bill does little to move spending where it needs to go. There is no reason why this country can't immediately go back to a 2019 spending target. Neither party is serious about reducing spending. Separately, the tariff policy of this country is a joke. The appropriate tariff is a zero tariff. But tariffs are not the subject of the bill.

BBB - The one big, beautiful bill is also one Big, Budget Buster which will add $ 5 trillion to the Budget Deficit. Does anyone really give a damn?? China holds a big portion of debt. This is not a very good picture when they sell the debt. Moody's just downgraded the US Debt last week.. Hopefully the Senate will keep bonus depreciation and step up in cost basis to FMV at death. Yes, the country has a big spending problem but cutting revenue in such a big way is Not the answer. No tax on overtime will be totally abused. I can see it now, just put your salary at $ 40,000 and all the rest is overtime. No tax on tips, why are we giving that revenue away. No Tax on social security. Tax on Social Security was passed when Bill Clinton was President and we had a Republican Congress and we Balanced the Federal Budget!! Where are all the so called Republican fiscal conservatives??? I sincerely hope the Senate cuts back a lot of these give aways.

I am a crop/farm/health insurance agency owner and the tax provisions are good but the cuts are disastrous. People would be amazed how many rural people take coverage on the healthcare exchanges when the farming economy is not profitable if they are self employed (farmers and ranchers, small business owners). The rural economy is suffering. I have teachers and nurses that work full time but are paid part time. Is it legal? Yes, they put in 40+ hour work weeks because of staff shortages but are still considered part time. These people have taken this coverage on the exchanges since the Medicaid expansion and they are not abusing the system. Their employers cannot afford to provide quality health insurance to their workers. You add in work requirements and this is one more bureaucratic task to accomplish for hardworking people. Sometimes the phone wait time for a call into MNSure (Obama care in Minnesota) can be three to four hours due to staff shortages. Who has time during working hours to sit on hold waiting for someone to answer? Farmers utilize these healthcare products to survive. Wish the poll would have had questions regarding the items that may be cut, not just the tax advantages.
