As Expected, Senate Kills Tax Bill
The Senate needed 60 votes to "pass" the bill and they only got 48. This means some Democrats voted no too.
As expected, the Senate failed to pass the Tax Act that was originally passed by the House 357-70.
On the Democratic side, Senator Manchin (I-WV) and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) voted no, while on the Republican side, Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) Josh Hawley (R-MO) and Rick Scott (R-FL) all voted yes.
