Estimated inflation adjusted amounts have been calculated for 2025 and the estimated lifetime exemption amount will be $13.990 million.
Many tax rates, amounts and related items are indexed to the chained consumer price index each year based on the annual inflation as of August of each year. Based on the just released inflation numbers for August, the annual inflation to apply for 2025 will 2.5%, the lowest level this decade.
