Crop Share Update for SDRP Stage 2 Calculator
You will need to tweak your APH for crop share landlords or farmers
We provided a SDRP Stage 2 calculator in our previous post but notice that if you are a crop share landlord or farmer, you will need to tweak your APH numbers to arrive at the correct calculation.
The SDRP Liability in Box 22 and the RMA certified production in Box 23 are based on your share of the crop. Therefore, when you enter the APH number in the calculator, this will be based on your share of the APH.
As an example, assume that the APH for your corn crop is 220 bushels and you are a 50/50 landlord. Instead of entering 220 for your APH you would enter 110.
There may be other “tweakages” that you may need to do as we use the calculator. We will keep you posted.
