Don't Forget About SCO
In last weeks post we mentioned that ARC-CO will likely be better than PLC for 2024. However, SCO requires you to elect PLC.
In last week’s post we reviewed the options for ARC-CO and PLC for 2024. In our opinion, ARC-CO is likely to pay more than PLC for corn, soybeans and wheat in most cases, however, if a farmer wishes to utilize Supplemental Coverage Option (SCO) as an add-on to their regular crop insurance, it requires them to elect PLC.
