FBA is Still Stuck With Old Payment Rules
Several people have reached out on the payment limits for FBA
It appears that about half of the Farmer Bridge Assistance (FBA) program payments have been issued. We have gotten several comments or questions regarding the program payment limit.
Many assume that with the payment limit changes under the One Big Beautiful Act (OBBBA) that LLCs and S-corporations would be entitled to multiple payment limits based on the number of “equal” owners.
We had originally done a post on how the payment limits for FBA and ECAP were different.
ECAP only allowed one payment limit for entities such as S-corporations and LLCs since this was a 2024 program put in place before OBBBA. However, an entity could qualify for two payments if more than 75% of their average gross income (different from adjusted gross income) was from farming.
