Final Top Up on 2023 and 2024 ELRP Will be 8.2%

Livestock producers originally received 35%, the top up will get them up to 43.2% total

The American Relief Act provided disaster assistance for livestock producers who incurred qualifying disaster events in 2023 or 2024.

USDA was authorized to provide compensation up to 60% of the loss and under the original Emergency Livestock Relief Program (ELRP) 2023 and 2024 program initiated in May 2025, producers received 35% of the estimated losses.

USDA just announced that producers will receive a top up of an additional 8.2% which will be paid soon to the livestock producers, and it will automatically be paid assuming they have already signed up for the program.
