We finally have the details on the Economic Commodity Assistance Program (ECAP).
The application deadline is August 15, 2025. Payments are based on actual 2024 plantings including eligible double crop acres plus 50% of any eligible acres prevented from planting.
They will automatically mail a filled-in Form FSA-63 (not available on their website yet) applications to all farmers that are in the database later this week based on the filed Form FSA-578 for the farmer. The filled-in application will have all of the acres for that particular farmer in all US counties filled in. If you farm in multiple counties or states, we are not sure which office you can file it with. It appears that you may be able to go into your local office starting tomorrow to sign the application. After signature, you should receive payment within five days.
