How Many More Acres Under ECAP Versus FBA
We provide a chart of how many extra acres was available under ECPA versus FBA
This is the first full day in Hawaii with my grandkids from Phoenix and I already needed a break from all of the energy that they provide.
Last week we had indicated that ECAP likely allowed more acres to be in the program before maxing out on payments assuming that the farmer had more than 75% of their AGI from farming.
Under ECAP, a farmer could qualify for a maximum payment of $250,000 per person, while FBA only allows a payment of up to $155,000 per person. Therefore, the same farmer under ECAP potentially qualified for an extra $95,000 versus FBA.
