IRS Releases Final 2026 Form W-2s
The release includes the codes for tips, overtime and Trump Account information
The IRS just released the final 2026 Form W-2s that will be reported next January.
We had previously posted on the draft forms and there really were not too many changes.
Here are the new codes that will be used:
If the employer is listing tip income under Code TA, it will also be required to report the correct tipped occupation in Box 14b.
We are not sure why they could not have simply updated the 2025 Form W-2 with these codes, but at least we will have it for 2026 filings.
