Join Roger and Me in Huntsville, Utah — August 3–4
Our last summer CPE series is in Utah this year
Roger McEowen and I are bringing our summer farm tax seminar to Huntsville, Utah, on Monday and Tuesday, August 3 and 4. If you’ve joined us before, you know the format: income tax on day one, estate and business planning on day two, and the two of us trying to have a little fun with tax while still making it useful.
This year’s lineup leans heavily into OBBBA. Day one covers the federal tax update, Rural Opportunity Zones versus 1031 exchanges, farm income averaging, Form 3115 accounting-method changes, timber sales, and a Section 45Z potpourri. Day two shifts to the estate and gift update, manager-managed LLCs and self-employment tax, Section 743(b) succession math, portability versus a credit shelter trust, and FSA updates after OBBBA.
You’ll earn 16 hours of CPE — eight each day — and EA and tax-preparer credit is available. We’re at Huntsville Square in the beautiful Ogden Valley, with a room block at the Compass Rose Lodge. Can’t make it in person? The whole program streams live on Zoom.
Registration runs $465 for both days through July 17 (or $315 for a single day), then $500 after. You can register here or find full details on the Washburn Law CLE page. Roger and I hope to see you there — in person if you can swing it.
Here is a video of what we will be covering if you need more details.
