The University of Missouri Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI) issued additional guidance on farmer's economic assistance earlier this week.

The good news is that the projections that we came up with are not much different from theirs on the estimated payment rates. We need to make sure to remember that both theirs and our estimates may change since we still don’t know for sure what final 10-year average yields USDA will use to calculate the payment rates, but any difference should be minor. Plus, USDA still has to calculate the actual payment rates for the “minor” crops that were not specifically listed in the Bill.
