Republicans Reach Unveil Stopgap Bill to Keep Government Funded Through September 30
The Republicans on Saturday released a bill to keep the government open through September 30 but will there be enough votes in the Senate to pass it.
It will trim baseline spending by about $13 billion but will not cut Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid but would have some additional funds for defense. There is no disaster relief for the California wildfires or additional “pork” that legislators could take back home.
