We assume the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program (SDRP) is going to be based on yield and not include any price component since that was paid as part of ECAP.
If so, we thought it might be good to have a quick calculator that could estimate the amount of payments for each of the crops that you farm.
Attached is the spreadsheet for doing those calculations.
Note the following:
The cells in yellow are what you need to input.
There is a dropdown list for the following items:
Crop
Crop Year (2023 or 2024)
Coverage elected
Payout percentage
Our dropdown list for crops is based on the covered commodities under Title 1. You may have other crops that are not on that list. If so, and you want to calculate payments for your crop, just know that the crop listed may need to be corrected on a printout.
We did not provide a dropdown list for either the projected or harvest price since there can be many variables for that. For example, wheat has three different options (durum, spring and winter) and various prices based on where the crop is located. The price in Washington for winter wheat might be different than the price in Kansas. Therefore, you will need to input those prices. If you don’t know them, we provided a link to the RMA price discovery tool which will look it up for you.
