Special Webinar on FBA
We provide a webinar on our initial thoughts on the Farmer Bridge Assistance Program
In our last post we provided written content for our paid subscribers. Since many of you are not paid subscribers and need to understand the new Farmer Bridge Assistance (FBA) Program, we are now providing a webinar to everyone.
We hope that many of you that are not paid subscribers do find our content worthwhile and will consider upgrading to being a full subscriber.
We did verify in the section dealing with the calculator that general partnerships and joint ventures will qualify for more than one payment limit based on owners. S and C corporations, LLCs, LLPs, etc. only qualify for one payment limit of $155,000.
This likely due to OBBBA being passed after all Form 902s were filed with FSA and they would not be able to update their system to allow for extra payment limits for these entities. Again, this will be a penalty for many larger farm operations versus farming as a general partnership, at least for FBA.
We assume that starting with the 2026 crop, that these programs will treat Qualified Pass-Through Entities the same as general partnerships but need clarification from USDA on this.
Here is the webinar (I apologize upfront for the extra hand action done by me):
