Update on 2024 ARC and PLC Payments

If current price action continues for the new marketing year, we are likely looking at larger ARC and PLC payments which we should not wish for.

We had originally done a post on possible ARC and PLC payments back on June 26, 2024.

In that post we surmised based on possible price trends that fairly large ARC or PLC payments would be made for the 2024 crop to be paid in October 2025 or later.

Since then, price action in corn, soybeans and wheat has been even worse, plus USDA had dropped their MYA price estimates in the latest WASDE report. We are guessing the next WASDE report will drop estimated MYA prices even more.
