USDA Announces Sugar Assistance
This assistance is separate from the new Farmer Bridge Assistance Program
USDA announced on Friday, February 20, 2026, assistance for sugar cane and sugar beet growers.
There are two tranches to the assistance. First, all sugar growers (beet and cane) will be entitled to share in $150 million of assistance. Here is a list of the approximate acres by state that are grown for sugar:
