We Survived Day 1 of Disneyland
The family and I spent most of yesterday at Disneyland
We arrived at the Ontario airport early Monday afternoon and of course it took National Car Rental a while to find us the appropriate toddler car seat before we could head down to Anaheim.
On the way we stopped and ate at The Hat which is a local chain famous for their pastrami sandwich and Orange Bang pop.
We finally arrived at the Grand Californian hotel around 3 pm and got checked into our room.
That night we ate a buffet with Disney characters (Disney knows how to sell these to families). Our granddaughter who will be three next month loved Daisy Duck, the other characters not so much.
Finally, yesterday we got to Disneyland and rode most of the major rides. We had passes that allowed us to skip the lines, but the reality is it was not a busy day.
According to my IPhone we walked approximately twelve miles yesterday and I believe it. That night we hanged out at the hotel and recovered for doing California Adventure today and then head home tomorrow.
