Producers of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) qualify for a current credit under Section 40B. The credit is $1.25 per gallon plus an additional cent per gallon for every point above 50% reduction of emissions. This credit expires at the end of 2024 and will be replaced with Section 45Z.
