Will We Get Any More From SDRP

We review how much more might be paid after the 35% SDRP Double Up

The SDRP Dashboard indicates that about $11.6 billion has been paid to farmers so far. Most of this was for Stage 1 farmers with Stage 2 farmers getting less than $1.5 billion so far.

With the program deadline being extended to August 12, 2026, we know that Stage 2 farmers will continue to receive more funds as USDA updates their database. There have been numerous issues with getting the correct information in their system and the extension of the deadline allows USDA to get these applications corrected and monies sent to the farmers.

We know that about $12.5 billion will be paid to farmers due to the double up from 35% to 70% for both Stage 1 and 2. USDA allocated $16.09 billion to SDRP and if total payments under the double up reach $12.5 billion, then this leaves about $3.5 billion to be used for:
